Board Member / Foundation Ambassador 

The Board Member and FA Role is a champion and advocate of the Foundation that helps:

  • To build a positive relationship between parents and the Foundation

  • Educate parents on how their donations contribute to the excellence in education in our District

  • Encourage generous giving

  • To participate in discussions regarding the fundraising strategy and tactics for the District

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Volunteer to attend 1 or more events throughout the year.  (New family/Kinder Dinner, Parent information Night, LLEF Night w/ the Grade Level Gatherings, Meet the teacher, Kona Ice AGC Launch, etc.)

  • AGC Outreach – Class and/or Grade level

    • Each FA will choose a cluster of LLESD families (typically 15-20) and work to cultivate relationships with those families to help secure donations for the annual giving campaign

    • October – December – Emails,  phone calls, face to face outreach encouraging families to donate before the AGC deadline in early December.

  • Participate in 1-2 phone appeals, one in November and one in January

  • Participate and attend 6-8 Board Meetings, typically the 4th Wednesday of each month

 

Time Commitment 

  • On average our Foundation ambassadors spend 1-2 hours per week during the busier months of Oct to December. We understand our volunteers have limited time, and we appreciate any time you can give to support the Foundation, and we will work to make sure your time is used effectively and efficiently.
